Short version: We collect minimal data. We never sell your information. Most tools require zero personal data. OFI Match is 100% anonymous — no SSN, no name, no credit pull required.

FinanceRateCalc ("we," "us," "our") operates financeratecalc.com, including the OFI (Overlay Friction Index), Zai AI tools, and Zai for Brokers subscription service. We are an educational mortgage intelligence platform — not a lender, broker, or financial advisor.

2. What Information We Collect

Free tools (Zai, OFI Dashboard, Denial Decoder, OFI Match, Appeal Letter, OFI Futures):

No personal identification required to use any free tool
Anonymous usage analytics via Google Analytics 4
Session preferences stored locally in your browser (localStorage) — never sent to our servers
No SSN, credit score, name, or personal financial data collected or stored

Zai for Brokers — $49/month subscription:

Payment processing handled entirely by Gumroad — we receive only your email address
No credit card data is ever stored by us
Email used only for subscription management and optional OFI Weekly Briefing

OFI Weekly Briefing (newsletter):

Email address only, submitted voluntarily via opt-in form
Used exclusively to send weekly OFI market updates
Unsubscribe link included in every email

Outcome Tracker (Zai):

Outcomes are self-reported anonymously — no personal data attached
Aggregated and anonymized before any display

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve our educational tools and services
To send OFI Weekly Briefing to subscribers who opt in
To analyze site usage patterns via Google Analytics (anonymized)
To process subscription payments via Gumroad

We do NOT: sell, rent, share, or monetize your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with our site. GA4 collects anonymized data including pages visited, session duration, and approximate location (city level). No personal identifiers are collected by GA4 on our behalf. You may opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Google AdSense

We display advertisements via Google AdSense on free pages. Google may use cookies to serve contextually relevant ads based on your browsing history. We do not control Google's ad targeting. See Google's Privacy Policy and Ad Settings to manage preferences.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect information. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We recommend not sharing sensitive personal or financial information through any online platform unnecessarily.

Newsletter email addresses: retained until you unsubscribe
Google Analytics data: 14 months (Google's standard retention)
Outcome tracker data: anonymized aggregates only — no individual records retained
We do not store individual mortgage application data

11. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us immediately.

12. International Users

Our site is operated from Turkey and primarily serves US users. By using our site, you consent to the processing of your data as described in this policy. EU users should note that some data may be processed outside the EU.
